Brian Dalton, CEO

Brian co-founded Altius during his undergraduate studies in Earth Sciences at Memorial University and has been its CEO for its entire 29-year history as a public company. He has also served on the boards of several other mining related companies in which Altius has held significant interests and was the CEO of Altius Renewables Royalties Corp. prior to its privatization transaction in 2024. Brian is an active member of various industry and volunteer organizations and is a former Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneur of the Year and an EY Entrepreneur of the Year for Atlantic Canada in its industrials category. Brian also serves on the Board of private company Newfoundland Power Inc., a subsidiary of Fortis Inc.

John Baker, President

John was a co-founder of Altius in 1997, has been the Chairman of the Board since 2006 and was appointed as Executive Chairman in June 2014. John was a senior partner in a leading St. John’s law firm until June 2014. He has served on numerous public company and volunteer boards and has received several awards for public service.

Stephanie Hussey, Chief Financial Officer

Stephanie was appointed Chief Financial Officer in September 2025, having previously served as VP Finance. She joined Altius in 2014. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Memorial University and earned her Chartered Accountant designation in 2007. Prior to joining Altius, Stephanie was a Senior Manager (Audit & Advisory) at Deloitte where she worked for 10 years serving a variety of clients in the resource sector including mining, power and utilities and oil and gas. Stephanie is responsible for the day to day financial management of Altius including financial reporting, securities compliance, taxation, budgeting and treasury.

Mark Raguz, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development

Mark has been a member of Altius’ corporate development team for almost ten years. Prior to his current role, Mark was a Vice President in Investment Banking at several leading full-service boutique investment dealers. Mark was previously a mining and metals analyst in both buy-side and sell-side research. Mark has served as a director of various TSXV listed companies and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the Lassonde Mineral Engineering Program at the University of Toronto.

Lawrence Winter, Ph.D., P.Geo., Vice President, Generative and Technical

Lawrence joined Altius’ executive team in 2006. Lawrence is a graduate of Memorial University (BSc Hons, Msc) and The University of British Columbia (PhD), a registered Professional Geoscientist (PEGNL) and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists. Lawrence has worked in mineral exploration across Canada and internationally and is responsible for Altius’ project generation efforts globally.

Flora Wood, Vice President, Investor Relations & Sustainability, and Corporate Secretary

Flora joined Altius in 2017 after leading Investor Relations and bondholder negotiations for mining and steel companies including Inmet Mining, Sherritt International, Harris Steel Group, Essar Steel Algoma and several junior explorers. Over the course of 25+ years, she has led IR for companies during four takeovers (friendly and hostile) and one debt restructuring. She is currently on the board of AbraSilver Resource Corp. and is a member of the Audit Committee. Flora holds an MA from the University of Toronto.

Ernie Ortiz, Vice President, Corporate Development and Head of Lithium

Ernie Ortiz serves as VP of Corporate Development and Head of Lithium at Altius, joining the firm in March 2026 following its acquisition of Lithium Royalty Corp (LRC). As the former Co-Founder, President and CEO of LRC, Ernie orchestrated the origination, structuring, and investments across 37 royalties. He led the largest TSX-listed IPO of 2023 for LRC, successfully raising C$150 million. Ernie is a frequent keynote speaker at key industry forums, including Fastmarkets and LME Week. He previously served as an Analyst at Tide Point Capital Management and a Senior Associate at Credit Suisse (now UBS), where he pioneered lithium research and co-authored a seminal industry primer. Beyond his executive role, Ernie is a founding member of the LME Lithium Advisory Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for Sinova Global Inc. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and earned his BA in Economics from the University of Chicago.
